Indian Mills Memorial School was thrilled to welcome Jordan Toma, author of The Kid with an IEP, for an incredibly powerful and motivating presentation. Jordan shared his deeply moving personal journey of overcoming learning differences, rewriting his own narrative, and turning his struggles into his ultimate strength.

Join us on Tuesday, February 24, for the monthly BOE meeting. Please note the new start times: the public Work Session will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the Regular Meeting will begin no earlier than 6:30 p.m. and no later than 7:00 p.m.
We are thrilled to share that our school Boosterthon Glow Run raised an amazing $25,000! Thank you to IMHSA for your support, and to all of our Shamong families for your generosity, enthusiasm, and school spirit. This incredible accomplishment would not have been possible without our entire school community coming together. We are so grateful for your continued support!

5th grade Humanities class took a Nature Walk last week. The students used their 5 senses to come up with sensory details and descriptive words, which will help to make their writing more interesting. 🙂

Special Education Week 2025
On May 30th, 2025, District Resource Officer, Larry MacArthur organized a K-9 demonstration for the students at Indian Mills Elementary School. Thanks to his contacts at the Burlington County Sheriff's Office, he was able to bring in several handlers and their amazing K-9 partners.
They had a great lineup:
• Patrolman Peters and his partner Pepper from Pemberton Township Police.
• Corporal York and his partner Duco from New Hanover Police.
• Detective Wolverton with his partner Batman and Detective Alter with her partner Jett, both from the Burlington County Sheriff's Department.
The teams showcased a variety of K-9 skills, including narcotics detection, explosives detection, tracking, and patrol bite work. The kids, ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade, were absolutely captivated by the demonstrations. Afterward, they even got a chance to pet the dogs, which was definitely a highlight for them!
These two lucky students got to be Principal for the day at IMS with Ms. Moore.
